From the day Krista and Dominic met, Drake has been by their side - through every season of life, steady and loyal. Drawn to wide open land, fresh air, and water within reach, he has always belonged to the outdoors.
This land reflects that same spirit. Open space to roam, a pond near the barn, and the quiet rhythm of ranch life mark a return to something honest and enduring. It is where Drake feels most at home - and where we were called to build ours.

Dominic, Ranch Manager
Dominic is our go-to Ranch Manager and the heart behind the day-to-day care of our furry friends. During photoshoots, he helps guide and work with the animals to create memorable experiences while ensuring their comfort and well-being. He is passionate about preserving the ranch's western heritage and natural beauty, while continually finding creative ways to enhance the landscape and elevate the overall experience. With his hands-on attitude, innovative ideas, and "get it done" mentality, Dominic helps bring the vision of Drakes Ranch to life every day.

With an eye for detail and a passion for creativity, Krista helps bring the vision of Drakes Ranch to life. Alongside Dominic, she plays a key role in developing new concepts and experiences for the ranch while leading the branding, website, and marketing efforts. As the behind-the-scenes visionary, she is constantly finding inspiration and turning ideas into reality, helping create the beautiful, authentic experience guests know and love at Drakes Ranch.

Our beloved English Chocolate Lab and the inspiration behind Drakes Ranch. Long before the ranch had a name, Drake could always be found exploring the property, running through the pastures, and enjoying the simple joys of ranch life. His adventurous spirit, loyal heart, and love for the outdoors inspired us to create a place that celebrates connection, nature, and a slower pace of living.
Our Mission
At Drakes Ranch, we celebrate a way of life rooted in Western heritage and the enduring spirit of the American frontier—where hard work, humility, and homestyle living come together on five acres in Petaluma's vineyard-lined countryside.
Nestled within the cool, foggy mornings and golden afternoons of the Petaluma Gap, the ranch serves as both a private working landscape and a sanctuary for simple, intentional living. Here, livestock roam the pastures, fresh eggs are gathered each morning, and a quiet pond near the barn offers a peaceful backdrop to the daily rhythm of ranch life.
Designed to remain small by intention, Drakes Ranch fosters a close-knit community where rustic authenticity meets understated luxury. Every detail reflects a deep appreciation for the land, from evenings spent enjoying local Pinot Noir and Chardonnay to dreams of future horses, a bustling barn, and a humble bakery stand at the end of the road.
